Winderlea Pinot Noir Dundee Hills Ana Vineyard 2007
The 2007 ANA was picked on October 15th and 16th at 22.6 and 23.4 brix. Again – the ANA is made up of the Dijon 777 and Pommard clones. Barrel aged for 9 months in French oak (30% new). The ANA shows predominantly red fruit, subtlety nuanced with a hint of earth and spice and a slight perfumed finish. The ANA is drinking beautifully now and should show well for a minimum of 5 to 8 years.
Holy Pinot Noir Batman! This is an Oregon Pinot not to miss! Very complex and a richer style than most from Oregon. Black cherry and black raspberry with cedar, forest floor and clove on the nose. The palette is filled with more dark red fruit and spice with lovely earthiness. The finish is long with lingering fruit and spice.
