Wilson Winery was built on tradition and family—much like its landmark barn anchored to the eastern rim of the legendary Dry Creek Valley. When Ken and Diane Wilson opened the century-old cellar doors, they began to share more than their extraordinary wines, they offer a view into a wine valley's history and a legacy of winemaking. It was in 1993 when the Wilsons took on the restoration of the old tin barn—once the Chris Fredson Winery—complete with the original redwood vats and tanks. Today this historic barn houses modern stainless steel tanks and a new collection of French and American oak barrels for aging the Wilsons’ Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petite Sirah. More than a home for Wilson wines, the old tin barn is the homestead for their growing family of boutique wineries they nurture and are proud to call Wilson Artisan Wineries. We invite you to visit our historic tasting room in the heart of the beautiful Dry Creek Valley, just minutes from downtown Healdsburg. Taste our critically acclaimed single-vineyard designate wines—Zinfandels, Cabernet Sauvignons, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Petite Sirah and more. Enjoy a picnic with a bottle of Wilson wine on our expansive deck. Take in the sweeping panoramic vineyard views of Dry Creek Valley and just relax. With one of the most friendly tasting staff in town, Wilson is a must when in Sonoma County. Our Tasting Room is Open Daily* 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Closed Major Holidays *Groups of 10 or more, by appointment only Read less

Tasting Notes:

This wine offers the depth of flavors found in an old vine Zin with the freshness typically associated with younger vines. Enjoy the classic aromas of spicy black pepper and black raspberry combined with tart cherry and toasty oak. Juicy, bright mixed berries laced with fresh ground Tellicherry black pepper caress the palate. With just the right amount of vanillin oak and a long, lingering finish, this well-balanced Zin can be enjoyed with everything from pizza to pork chops or a killer pasta with berry pie for dessert.
