Williams Selyem Zinfandel Russian River Valley Feeney Vineyard 2007
From a vineyard formerly owned by the Feeney Family and now owned by the Coulson Family, this wine exhibits extremely concentrated flavors of raspberry, cassis, mocha and sassafras that explode in your mouth. The aromas are similar, but with a high-toned, perfumed edge to them. Big, rich mouth-coating tannins give way to a long, jammy finish. A great new addition to our collection of zinfandels.
Pale ruby on the rim deepening to an inky purple in the center. Hints of berry and earthiness on the nose with heady alcohol on the end. Exceptionally well balanced. A sensation of cool on the tongue upon tasting developing into strawberries, raspberries, and spice towards the end. A little acidity on the end balances everything nicely.
