One of the rarest and most collectible California wines period are the single vineyard offering from Williams Selyem. Winemaker Bob Cabral was recently crowned Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and this 2009 Allen vineyard Pinot Noir scored 97 Points. The review said "A drop-dead gorgeous Pinot Noir that will satisfy everyone from Burgundy fans to diehard Cabernet cultisits. Shows and elegant complexity and silky texture that defines great California Pinot Noir., yet with powerful impact that emphasizes raspberries, cherries and blueberries. Brilliant acidity and tannins provide the perfect famework on this wine that's drinkable now, and will develop over the next 15-20 years. Cellar Selection." Extremely limited!

Winemaker's Notes:

Fresh and vibrant aromas of cappuccino, wild berries, exotic spices and cardamom emanate classic pinot noir characteristics from this part of the “true” Coast. Your mouth will burst with flavors of ripe wild blackberries, fennel, mocha, strawberry/rhubarb pie and crème brûlée. Powerful, yet fleshy tannins balance with the matured berry flavors along with racy acidity. The long, rich finish gives way to a slight hint of mint and citrus. A wonderful wine to age for 3-5 years.
