Chardonnay is probably my least favorite grape unless the wine has bubbles. But I found the Chablis to be rather good with a nice tart citrus bite. Read more

Star bright, lemon, yellow apple and minerals, lead to citrus, golden delicious fruit with good mouth feel, minerals and a bit of gun-flint before a long, generous finish.

My group found this wine buttery on the palate, cut with a fresh, lemony end. It's a good summer white- refreshing, with a slight linger on the palate.

High acidity. Lemon/delicate aroma. Taste: Very sour!

Buttery? from lower review...um no way. This is the opposite of buttery. An high acid as a bad thing in another review? duh it's Chablis, not Napa Valley. What's next Barolo bad because it's high tannin? This is a classic Chablis, clean, bright slatey. For $20 this is a great bottle of Chard.

William Fevre founded the Domaine de la Maladière with his first harvest in 1959. For many years, Fèvre (who to this day enjoys a very good reputation as a defender of historically renowned terroirs), has worked each plot skillfully so as to make wine whose personality reflects the authenticity of the famous chalky, Kimmeridgian soils from which they spring. In 1998, the venerable Henriot family from Champagne succeeded him bringing along a very personal expertise in Chardonnay. This Chablis (100% Chardonnay) reflects their refined style. No oak aging, just stainless steel tanks and full malo-lactic to bring out the intensity of the fruit.

The apple, peach and mineral flavors play off the vibrant structure, while the texture remains smooth and generous. Has good regional character. Drink now through 2012.

Round, with peach, yellow plum and a hint of mineral. A firm structure keeps this focused, with a hint of lemon zest on the finish. Drink now through 2010.

Apple, melon and mineral notes mingle in this vibrant, balanced white, which lingers with a Granny Smith flavor and a mouthwatering impression. Drink now through 2012.
