William Downey Pinot Noir Yarra Valley 2006

External Review by WineChateau.com:

The Beijing Olympics have started (hence the cover of last weeks Economist), and ordinarily I would be glued to the TV watching the swimming finals. Thanks to a commercially motivated decision to move the interesting bits to the mid morning (when I am at work), to cater for larger viewing audiences in the USA, there is nothing to watch at night. Which of course is quite a good thing, because it means I can drink, blog (changing the template) and read novels. . .

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
