For further information email: winery@willakenzie.com Note: as the name would suggest, this is from a low lying block of vines; bottled at 14.5% The fruit here is higher-toned with notes of raspberry and red pinot fruit that can also be found on the nicely rich and more finely detailed flavors that possess buried structure and a dusty, sappy and ever-so-slightly warm finish. Like the Pierre Léon, the tannins are not particularly elegant or refined but I like the depth and length plus the wood is almost invisible.
