Wild Rock Wine Company is a producer of regionally diverse wines. Company vineyards, a combination of owned, leased and contracted are situated in; Hawke's Bay, Martinborough, Marlborough, Central Otago. Wild Rock Wine Company Vineyards winemaking operations occur at two purpose built facilities in the Hawke's Bay, and to a small extent in contract facilities in the south Island. The winemaking facilities are have been design for diverse small batch wine making and larger batch contract processing and wine finishing. Cellar operation and techniques (including cleaning product use, waste disposal, wash down standards) are controlled by wine maker specification, and increasing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) geared to accreditation to HACCP Water take at both sites is from consented bores; Waste water disposal is via effective, consented effluent and wine waste treatment systems. Grape processing by-products are retained for composting and, ultimately, return to the vineyard. A sustainable, environmentally sympathetic and efficient mode of operation is integral to our operations. The wineries are SWNZ accredited. Read less

Elevation Sauvignon Blanc 2008 - Wild Rock: Elevation Sauvignon Blanc 2008 - Weißwein von Wild RockDieser Sauvignon Blanc liegt auf einem höheren Level - ein Wein mit viel Seele.Das Glas wird von grünlichen Farbnuancen erfüllt. Sein Bukett vereint klare Aromen von Zitronengras mit Kräutern, Kalk und Pampelmuse. Dazu gesellen sich die typischen Noten vom Riesling und Viognier sowie zarte Frühlingsblumen. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Elevation Sauvignon Blanc 2008 von Wild Rock sehr saftig, aber dennoch elegant und mit feiner Textur. Der Gaumen wird von Zitrusfrüchten verwöhnt, leicht süßlich wirkenden Noten von Kräutern und eleganten, zarten Blütennoten. Still the classic New Zealand gooseberry, but less of the grass and grapefruit, more of the lime, floral and stonefruit. Crisp, spicy, and delicious. Sublime wherever there is sun, surf or seafood. - Winery
