(includes bits of riesling and viognier) Pale straw-yellow. Aromas and flavors of lime and peach skin, dried herbs, smoke and flint. Rich, round and smooth, with good weight and palate presence. An attractive touch of sweetness is nicely countered by firm framing acidity. This tactile, substantial wine finishes broad, with citrus and tarragon notes. Id give it 6 to 12 months for its sweetness and acidity to harmonize further. This is a food-friendly Sauvignon blended with hints of Riesling (for acidity) and Viognier (for fragrance). Citrus and grassy notes strike just the right balance, and there's a pleasant creaminess to the wine's texture. Drink it over the next six months. - J.C.
