Wild Horse Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Complex for the price point. Opens with Big wood, coasts nicely into cherrys,(not too sweet), and then finishes with Licorice that lasts for many minutes. A good wine for the price.Add winemaker's notes

Tart fully bodied with hints of cherry and blackberry . Better after decanting .
Raspberry, blackberry notes. A bit tannic, but not overpowering.
Herbaceous heat on the nose, a little bit of tobacco leaf, licorice and bell pepper. Chewy and chocolatey in the mouth, full of dark ripe blackberries, Italian amaro and smoke.
Red fruit aroma, with a spicy mid-palate, pretty well balanced with good length.
Smokey heat, smooth in the mouth. A lot of sweet raspberries.
Nose starts off a bit hot with the nice bright cherries and a little bit of mint. The Oak can be picked up but it is subtle and inviting, almost like cheddar cheese. As expected out of a Paso Robles cab it is very smooth and velvety. The front of the pallet has tastes of chocolate covered cherries. The middle of the pallet reminds me of Andies mints like you get with your bill at a restaurant. The finish is full and lingers. Unfortunately the finish is really mostly feel and not so much flavor or complexity, small hints of strawberry that are nice. The finish is the only thing bringing down my rating on this wine. At $17.99 I would recommend this in my store but I would prefer to see it around $13.99.

Nicely focused, with a refreshing bit of tartness to black currant, plum and roasted herb flavors. Finishes with lively tannic structure and nicely integrated oak tones. Drink now through 2006.

A bit herbal and minty, but also loaded with cassis scents. This medium to full-bodied Cab is big without seeming overdone. Blackberries, baking spices and coffee notes harmonize on the palate. Good steakhouse wine.
Exhibits aromas of cedar, mocha and caraway seed with fruit flavors reminiscent of baked plum and cherry pie. The finish is supple, with fine-grained tannins providing an elegant mouthfeel.
