Editorial Reviews for Wild Horse Pinot Noir
The youthful nose is estery and oaky with spice, smoke and licorice tones yet in the mouth this is easy but balanced in a big, acid driven style. It's a fleshy wine with nice flavors that feature a touch of sweet herb and vanilla framing big, sweet fruit. It's a fruit bomb and while not my style is a very appealing and popular style and this should be a big hit with many people. drink 2009-2012 88pts
Very fruity and straight forward Pino.
Crisp and dry Pinot Noir, with a muted black cherry and plum fruit.
A good wine, not great. Very drinkable. Not as smooth as some other California Pinots I've had. (Byron) Seemed a little too acidic for my taste. Overall OK.
Smooth treat at the in-laws.
Very much a fruit bomb, but still, surprisingly, contains a high level of acid when hitting the palate. Extremely approachable, as the acid dissipates quickly, yet not anything spectacular after that occurs. The nose is overly acidic throughout, finish is short and bitter at first, but mid-palate is delightful, enough to justify buying this bottle. Finish strengthens after some time open. Strawberry, cherry and a hint of tobacco. Good with light fare (lamb, etc.), average on its own. Give it another year+ in the bottle. 86-88 points.

Wine Tasting NotesOur Pinot Noir bursts with aromas and flavors of dried cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, and earth, with a rich lingering mouthfeel. A versatile wine, this Pinot Noir complements meals of salmon, lamb, poultry and grilled vegetables. Superb now, best enjoyed after a few years in the cellar.
