Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This wine had to be decanted for it to breathe, about 1 hour later it was a very nice fruity wine. A lot of cherry on the nose and palate.. July 2009

I had expected a lot from this wine, considering that it was written-up recently in my area. However, perhaps it was this high expectation that the wine just didn't live up to for me. Having said that, it was a nice normal merlot, in my opinion. I got, as the bottle agreed, notes of red berries on the nose, and a nice smooth finish. Overall enjoyable, but not unforgettable.

I felt as though this wine brings a slight bitter taste as it first hits your palate, but quickly becomes a sweet and easy to go down merlot. Very nice after taste

The sort of Merlot that gained the grape a following - medium-weight, supple and easy to drink. Black cherry, mocha and dried-spice flavors show very little herbaceousness, finishing on a bright note.

Ripe and zesty, with plum and roasted herb aromas and red currant and exotic Asian spice flavors. Drink now.

Deep, dark, dense and drinkable with outstanding opulence and depth. Super-ripe plum flavors are entwined with hints of chocolate, mocha, vanilla and plenty of French oak. This is what Merlot is all about - drink now.

A commendable, everyday Merlot, with some fanciness. Itandrsquo;s dry, but very rich in cherries, herbs and smoky oak, with complex but smooth tannins. Drink now.

It is well-balanced, with ripe berry fruits alongside light chocolate and soft vanillin oak. Bright on the palate with a fresh finish.

Bright, intense aromas of red plum and Bing cherry lead to flavors of cherry, mocha, and cedar. Grilled meats and rustic Mediterranean cuisine will bring out the wine's fruit flavors.
