Fresh lemongrass and grapefruit aromas with citrus notes and fresh cut grass, hints of mandarin orange and green apple as well. Peach and grapefruit on the palate, clean and light with good fruit and varietal notes of golden berries and grass. Easy drinking and well made. 89 pts

Not bad at all. Loads of acidity and citrus and stone fruit along with fresh and young green grass. Had it on its own, but would be far better with food.

Another good Savignon blanc from New Zealand. Citrus scents, ocean dews, middle legs. Paired well with Panned seared tuna, and sauteed veggies.

Tasting Note: Colour/Appearance: Pale yellow-green, with star bright clarity. Aroma/Bouquet: A fragrant array of gooseberry, blackcurrant leaf, boxwood, greengage plums, and a hint of tropical fruit. Palate: A medium bodied wine with vibrant acidity supporting bright, fragrant fruit flavours that linger on a long, clean finish. Cellaring: We recommend drinking our 2016 Sauvignon Blanc while it is young and fresh, however the wine is capable of developing nicely over the next three to five years if carefully cellared. Food Match: This wine is a perfect accompaniment to summer salads, poultry and shellfish, such as Marlborough’s famous green-lipped mussels. Also try it with lobster and white fish. Serve: Lightly chilled. Alcohol: 13.0% Residual Sugar: 3.7 g/L Titratable Acidity: 6.5 g/L pH: 3.3

This is classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, in fact Whitehaven has been one of our favorites for some time. Classic grapefruit and gooseberry with crisp acidity and a lingering finish.

GOLD - NZ International Wine Show - Winemakers Notes - Light yellow-green, with a bright clarity. Powerful, lifted notes of gooseberry fruit flavours and grapefruit pith adds to aromas of freshly cut herbs and nettles in the background. The palate is full, fresh and bursting with mouth watering gooseberry, tropical fruit and nettle flavours with a clean, crisp acid finish.

Winemaker Simon Waghorn has been able to maintain this brand's quality even as production has ramped up to 100,000 cases, a remarkable feat. The 2008 features ripe, tropical fruit aromas of guava and pineapple that morph easily into flavors of nectarine and fig; expect some herbal notes to emerge by the time it reaches consumers. It's plump in the mouth, yet finishes with a mouthwatering, clean, crisp finish.

Lemony, offering melon, peach, lemongrass and mango details that are ripe, fleshy and easily refreshing.

Pale lemon-yellow color. Aromas and flavors of lime, mint, pepper and licorice. Fleshy and ripe in the middle, then a bit tart on the back, finishing with dusty, varietally accurate notes of basil and licorice.

Pale, bright yellow. Penetrating aromas of pink grapefruit, lime, orange blossom and tarragon, with hints of capsicum and asparagus emerging with air. Juicy and racy, but not hard, with a chewy, sappy texture and decent density to the grapefruit pith, pineapple, pepper and herbal flavors. There's a varietally expressive herbaceousness here but not enough to overwhelm the wine's fruit.
