Very dissappointing.Maybe it is a bad bottle or a less than desirable year. I didn't like the nose from the start. Not much structure or substance at all. Very thin. Drinkable, but not that enjoyable. Cheers.
Ample fruit and good tannin all work toward a long, smooth finish. Good weight. Very nice. - Tasted at winery 4/20/10
Currant and very slight vanilla nose. More currant on the palate, with 3/5 acidity and 2/5 tannins, making this quite smooth. Medium-long finish. A nice complement to steak, and very drinkable and food-friendly, but could age longer for more structure and interest.
Expectionally concentrated. Chewy with currant, spice on the palate. The best cab value of the tasting.
[herb rub steak] Rich and hedonistic. Cassis, blackberry, smoke, and mint on the nose. Still a little rough on the edges, not as balanced as the Match 02 which preceeded. On palate cassis, dark berries, herb, and chocolate. Nice finish. KAB preferred the Match not knowing the price; but at this QPR I would take WH

This attractive blend is loaded with floral and bright fruit qualities. Aromas of cherry, violet and sweet vanilla meld with supple flavors of currant, red berry, a hint of cappuccino and toasty oak. The wine is nicely balanced with great length on the finish. The richness and ample fruit make it a fine choice to enjoy now but it will also improve with additional aging through 2018.

Intense color and aromas of raspberry, and toasty oak that leap forth. The berry and plum flavors are concentrated with a rich, mouth-coating texture. With loads of fruit and velvety tannins, this beautiful blend is enjoyable now but will age gracefully through 2016.

Whitehall Lane's 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon displays graceful aromas of cherry, plum and vanilla. This stylish wine is captivating and delicious from the enticing aromas to the long, smooth finish. It's a blend of lush fruit with aromas of deep blackberry, currant and toasted oak. With ample fruit, good weight in the mid-palate and velvety tannins, this beautifully balanced wine is ready to enjoy now, but worthy of aging for five to seven years.

Intense and concentrated, with a solid core of black cherry and currant flavors that are firm and vibrant. Ends with chewy tannins. Decant. Drink now through 2011. 15,500 cases made. JL Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2004 Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
Winemaker's Notes:
92 points and 'Editors' Choice,' Wine Enthusiast: What a beautiful wine this is for drinking now and over the next few years. It's lush and approachable, but it also has plenty of complexity, offering waves of blackberry, cherry, red currant, mocha and delicately toasted oak... (12/31/12)
