External Reviews for Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Winemaker Dean Sylvester sources grapes from St. Helena, Rutherford, Calistoga, Oakville and Sonomarsquo;s Knights Valley for this red, including Cabernet Sauvignon from Whitehall Lanersquo;s Leonardini Vineyard and Merlot from the Whitehall Lane estate vineyard. Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot round out the blend.
Compare this with wine that sell for two or three times the price! An immense effort, dark, rich and deeply concentrated, packed with layers of rich currant, chocolate, mocha, cherry and herbal nuances. Finishes with a powerful, persistent aftertaste, rich, ripe tannins and wonderful complexity. Best from 2003 thorough 2012.
An immense effort, dark, rich and deeply concentrated, packed with layers of rich currant, chocolate, mocha, cherry and herbal nuances. Finishes with a powerful, persistent aftertaste, rich, ripe tannins and wonderful complexity... Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1999 Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
At its core, this is classic cassis-scented Cabernet cut by tannins. For now, that core is surrounded by the walnut charriness of oak, the cran-apple edges of youthful acidity, the fragrant, candle wax scent of underdeveloped fruit. Cellar this, and the cassis should win out in the end.
Bright medium ruby. Fresh aromas of blackcurrant, violet and powdered chocolate. Bright, spicy flavors of currant, currant leaf and spices, with a sweet, creamy quality in the middle. Finishes with dusty, fairly ripe tannins. Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1999 Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 750ml

Notes: Whitehall Lane is a small, family owned winery that grows premier grapes in their Napa Valley vineyards. In 1999, the grapes were harvested in the first two weeks of October when the fruit displayed magnificent flavors and balance. The Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in a combination of American and French oak barrels for 20 months.
