A bright, crisp wine, the Pinot Gris begins with a nose of apples and pears preceding a palate filled with vanilla, and almonds.The Pinot Gris is the first variety harvested at White Hall. After de-stemming, the grapes were allowed contact with the skins for three hours to increase flavor. Fermented two-thirds in stainless steel tanks and one-third in neutral French and American oak barrels and then aged for five months in stainless steel tanks, the wine was stirred on its lees and malolactic fermentation was inhibited to retain true varietal characteristic. Blend: 95% Pinot Gris, 5% Petit Manseng
