White Hall Vineyards Petit Manseng Monticello 2006

Member Review by lamarr:

2006 White Hall Petit Manseng – Virginia – Color: yellow-green, favoring yellow, not pale, Nose: Mark – “Rotten Apples?”, we can’t tell the smell, Taste: very sweet, more of a dessert wine than an aperitif, slight syrupy finish, coating the mouth, not too nice, especially considering the call-time (5:52 pm) Lamarr: A- (decent white for what I’ve had, inoffensive, decent nose, a good start to the warm weather whites of the summer, would be better had we appropriately chilled it, slightly below room temperature, a little too warm for white) Hector: A- (“I like it…oooo, just got cheddar. Yeah, Vermont Sharp Cheddar right there.” Upon hearing that the White Hall website references “candied mangoes and tropical fruits,” he responded, “What? Un-uh. I mean, I get the tropical fruits, but I wouldn’t pick out the mango. No.”) Mark: A- (Celebrity Shot)
