I had this wine at Russell’s Steak Chops & More and it paired up very nicely with their Shallow Poached Atlantic Salmon. This wonderful Chardonnay was aged in both French oak and stainless steel barrels showing a different complexity that grew on me throughout the night. Bright and crisp acidity at first almost reminded me of a Sauvignon Blanc but towards the back of the palate it left a smooth and soft finish. The nose reminded me of standing on the boardwalk at the Seaport District in New York; vibrant sea salt and orchid. I loved every moment of that night and savored every last drop of the wine.
