Wente Vineyards Merlot Arroyo Seco Sandstone 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Food Network and Wente Vineyards today announced Entwine, the first Food Network wine portfolio featuring four varietals – a 2009 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Grigio. Created with the 100 million households the network reaches in mind, as well as consumers across America, this new wine line from two of the country’s leading food and wine pioneers will be available in summer 2011. “We wanted to take the mystery out of wine for our viewers so that they could enjoy the marriage of food and wine as much as we do,” says Sergei Kuharsky, General Manager of New Enterprises, Food Network.

Great fruity wine and good for the price. Not absolute favorite but a good "everyday" wine.

Too much like grape juice. Seriously not a fan. So much so, I'm dumping it out.

Entwine Wines is partnered with the Food Network and Wente Vineyards. Winemakers Notes - This Merlot is sustainably farmed and harvested from select Estate vineyards in California, whose topography, soils and climate provide optimal grape-growing conditions to develop ripe, round fruit flavors. Juicy and mouthwatering think mid-summer plums and cherries, with a hint of black tea.

Our 2009 Sandstone Merlot exhibits aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum with hints of black tea and toasted oak. A smooth mouthfeel and inviting tannis lead to a long, fruity finish.
