Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

I was able to buy this on sale at Safeway for $9, I believe this to be a great value. Slighty better than comparably priced offerings from Sterling, J. Lohr and C St. J. Will buy several cases for continued usage and gifting.

A purplish Cab with smatterings of Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Grenache and Merlot that starts out quite tannic, mellowing into a nicely balanced dinner-table wine, with hints of cranberry and black currant and subtle oak. A great deal for a well-made Cab that should get even better with another 2-3 years in bottle.

Lush, dense and powerful Cabernet at a fraction of the cost of many other fine California wines. Notes of cedar, violets and tobacco blend seamlessly with classic black fruit flavors.

Winemaker Notes - This Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits flavors of cherry, dark plum and a hint of coffee. Rich, yet approachable tannins provide a long, smooth finish.
