Weingut Spreitzer Riesling Spätlese 303 Oestricher Lenchen 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Terry Theise: (discernable but not obtrusive sweetness) A rarely seen Rheingau paradigm, solid no-nonsense alpha-Riesling as it used to be. Vanilla bean and candied violet yet the wine itself isn't at all 'candied,' albeit it is more lithe and ripply than its normally stoic heavy-footed self. It's a tall ballerina up on tiptoes to sniff the wisteria, standing on her powerful legs.
