Very typical pale Riesling color. Nose has a somewhat chemical character with hints of ammonia, citrus and fresh cotton. Very "flinty" nose too. Acidity is bright and lively - from what I hear this is unusual for the 2003 vintage. Flavor is something of a citrusy peach flavor -- but more candied, rich like peaches in simple syrup. This combines with a very obvious tropical fruit aspect of mango and passion fruit, and finishes with that distinctive mineral characteristic German Rieslings are known for. Excellent bottle of wine!
