What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Reviews

Beautiful, medium golden color. Very earthy nose, wet clay and grapefruit. Light aromas of smoke and burnt matches. Dry on the palate, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) alcohol, medium body. Which means that it's a fairly powerful yet balanced wine. The palate is ostensibly bitter. Which sounds bad but it isn't. It's very elegant, with a pronounced intensity of minerality, grapefruit and quince. Medium length. Drink now or keep until 2015.
