There's lots of slate notes behind the apple tart and honey cream flavors in this minerally, pure-tasting version. The lush finish is filled with mango, quince paste and lemon curd. Drink now through 2025. 450 cases made.
The 2001 Riesling Spätlese Brauneberger Juffer has a demure, yet sweet and ripe nose. A harmonious wine, it offers honeyed minerals, flowers, and red currants in its refined flavor profile as well as in its long, pure finish. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2015.
Plump and juicy. Apple, pear and mineral flavors come to mind, displayed on a rich texture. The moderately firm structure keeps it bright, followed by a lingering, yet slightly pinched finish. Best from 2004 through 2010.
From the heart of the vineyard, consisting of iron oxide-rich slate, comes this elegantly structured wine, achieving perfect balance with an underlying mineral quality and some sweetness. Enjoy this wine with spicy food such as curried chicken with apples.
Like drinking sunshine in a glass! This wine is enjoying its slow evolution. Beautiful, deep, honeyed stone fruit notes mingle with the crisp green apple and lime flavors, and the generous mouthfeel is smooth but still bright and clean. Pleasing to both fans of older mellowed Rieslings and those who enjoy the crisp, fresh fruit of wines still in their youth. Delicious now, but still has several years of drinkability left.
Slim and focused in its floral, peach and almond flavors, with a lightness in intensity, but balanced and light-bodied. Very Mosel in character. Drink now through 2012.
