Weingut Josef Leitz Riesling Eins Zwei Dry 3 2013
"EINS-ZWEI-DRY is the Riesling that provides an entry into the Leitz world of wine. This wine is a cross-section of various Rheingau loess and clay soils with an appealing dry character. The bouquet is characterized by a clear apple fragrance, a hint of kumquat and apricot together with a touch of lime blossom. On the palate the mature fruity acidity emerges, which lends the wine a powerful boldness, allowing it to culminate in a smooth, succulent finale." - from winery site
a bland, very light body with a generic sweetness... not worth the time
Crisp and refreshing with a bright green apple finish. Just perfect with california rolls, wasabi, ginger and soy.
Yes, it's dry. And refreshing. Went very well with BBQ.
We had this at Gotham Bar & Grill as part of their tasting menu with wine pairings. Tasty.
This was recently featured at my local wine/liquor store. The taste won me over...I didn't even realize it was a Riesling. This had an easy, refreshing, dry, and "green" flavor that keep me interested in a 2nd glass...ok 3rd...ok, I finished the bottle in 2 sittings.
Wonderfully crisp It is dry and austere with marked acid but also has a warm rich fruitiness.
