Wattle Creek is a small family owned winery with a 32 acre vineyard in Alexander Valley. Since their launch back in the mid-1990’s they have been turning out very limited quantities of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon produced from their estate vineyard. This 2005 is the latest release and it shows the beautiful focus and intensity that Alexander Valley fruit is famous for. It shows rich flavors of cassis, plum and black cherry complemented by coca, black olive and smoky oak. Less than 900 cases were produced so it’s very limited. Don’t miss it while it’s on sale.

Wine Tasting Notes This densely structured Cabernet shows rich lifted aromas of blackberry, cassis and plum, complimented by the smoky complexities of French oak. Vibrant flavors of ripe blackcurrant and cassis follow, with notes of toasted oak and a fine grain of tannin contributing to the profile and complexity of this wine. Try it with a grilled rib-eye and a sweet potato mash. Enjoy!
