At the right temperature this wine has a nose of apples and pears like most other Chardonnays. It has a mineralistic finish that would pare well with spicier dishes but would not be good with salmon. The finish is smooth, it is just more on the stainless steel side than the oak and butter side.

I lfind myself enjoying this Washington State Chardonnay for what it is not. It has citrus notes that are clean and lemony without being overbearing as in many Savignon Blancs. Floral notes are soft, as is the oak. Try this if you love Chardonnay but are tired of overbearing California labels. I am rating it higher than many of its reviews, but have found it to be very enjoyable with lighter dishes such as rotisserie chicken.

Fragrant pineapple and mango aromas marry with hints of buttery notes. The rich mouthfeel is filled with dried apricots, apple and lingering toast notes on the finish. - Winery

The 2009 Chardonnay (at 10,000+ cases the second largest production) was 69% barrel-fermented and 21% aged in new oak. Toasty butterscotch, pear, apple, and tropical aromas and flavors make for an excellent value in Chardonnay.

WS 87 Pts - According to Wine Spectator - Light and tangy, this white is crisp with lemony acidity, picking up apple and spice notes on the sharp-edged finish. Tasting Notes - Luring aromatics of toasted almonds and buttery notes swirl among tropical fruit aromas. The creamy palate is layered with apple tart and pineapple upside down cake. This satisfying Chardonnay leaves lingering banana on the finish and balanced acidity.
