External Reviews for Waterbrook Chardonnay Columbia Valley
The 2006 Chardonnay spent time in 24% new French oak with 30% of the wine going through malolactic fermentation. It is a serious Chardonnay at a bargain price.
Oaky, supple and structured, this sturdy Chardonnay is built upon clean green apple fruit and nicely layered toasty oak. It's the same formula as before: one third new French oak, one third malolactic, and nicely expresses open, fruit-driven, barrel-enhanced flavors with crisp citrus fruit.
Smooth, ripe and generous. Not a big wine, but this has pointed apple and pineapple fruit, nicely shaped with hints of cream and spice. The finish lingers well. Drink now through 2011.
Luring aromatics of toasted almonds and buttery notes swirl among tropical fruit aromas. The creamy palate is layered with apple tart and pineapple upside down cake. This satisfying Chardonnay leaves lingering banana on the finish and balanced acidity. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **
