Sauvignon Blanc in French is the "wild vine." It will grow anywhere, but everywhere it grows creates a very different style. Personally, I prefer the Sauvignon Blanc's from the Southern Hemisphere. In the North, the SB wines tend toward the shy side, but in South Africa they are loud, racy and gregarious...as you would expect from a wild vine.
Warwick, the darling of South Africa, makes stellar wines accross the board...Norma Ratcliffe was the wine maker for many years--the first female winemaker in South Africa!

- The wine shows an abundance of tropical fruit, guava, gooseberry and green fig flavorson the nose that carry through to the palate. The palate is rich and fruity with well-balancedacid while the aftertaste is long and lingering with enough fruit to make youcome back for more. Food recommendations: Fresh oysters, goat cheese salad or grilled freshwater fish.
