User Reviews for Warburn Estate Shiraz Barossa Tooma River Reserve

Winemaker's Notes:

Warburn Estate is a family owned grape grower, winemaker and bottler based in Griffith, New South Wales. The grapes for this wine were grown in the sun-drenched countryside around Griffith in New South Wales, where the warm and dry climate is ideal for ripening Shiraz into a voluptuous and spicy fruit driven style. Irrigation water is of considerable concern here and is used sparingly from the Murrumbidgee River, which goes on to feed the Murray River. Individual parcels are selected for picking and fermentation on the skins, mostly in steel tanks and a proportion with oak, and after fermentation a further rigorous selection and careful blending process results in this Reserve wine. Shiraz has found its natural home in the sun kissed Australian vineyard, where it produces a ripe, fruit forward style loved for its immediate approachability. This Reserve Shiraz is no exception, with a rich nose redolent with red and black berry aromas and a smooth, textured palate dripping with juicy dark fruits, hints of chocolate and lively spices. A great match to barbequed meat, red meat stews or a fillet steak.
