User Reviews for Warburn Estate Reserve Cabernet Tooma River

Winemaker's Notes:

Warburn Estate is a family owned grape grower, winemaker and bottler based in Griffith, New South Wales. The grapes for this wine were grown in the sun-drenched countryside around Griffith in New South Wales, where the warm and dry climate is ideal for ripening Cabernet into a ripe and generous, fruit driven style. Irrigation water is of considerable concern here and is used sparingly from the Murrumbidgee River, which goes on to feed the Murray River. Individual parcels are selected for picking and fermentation with the skins, mostly in steel tanks and a proportion with oak, and after fermentation a further rigorous selection and careful blending process results in this Reserve wine. Grown in the warm, sun drenched Australian vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon produces a distinctive, full bodied and generous style. This Reserve Cabernet is a great example, showing luxuriant blackcurrant aromas with hints of mint and delivering a powerful, concentrated palate of ripe blackcurrant and fig flavours, finishing supple and textured. The perfect match for grilled red meat, particularly sirloin or fillet steak.
