Walter Hansel Pinot Noir South Slope 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Josh Raynolds (Int'l Wine Cellar): Bright red. Intense black raspberry and cherry-cola aromas show impressive clarity and pick up notes of dried lavender and licorice with air. Sappy and precise, offering concentrated red and dark berry flavors and sexy floral pastille and vanilla nuances. Vibrant and focused on the subtly tannic finish, which features suave spicecake and berry compote qualities. Packs a punch but comes off as energetic and graceful, with no rough edges. From Dijon clone 777. (May/Jun 2013)

Temperature swings of 40 degrees are very common. Read less
