Walter Hansel Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Cuvee Alyce 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2010 Pinot Noir Cuvee Alyce is surprisingly plush and deep in this vintage. This is a more overt, fruit-driven style than I would have expected considering the year. Black cherries, currants, licorice and tobacco saturate the palate in this fleshy, deep Pinot. The 2010 Cuvee Alyce is all about rich, textured fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022. (Feb 2012)

Temperature swings of 40 degrees are very common. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
