Vintage: 2005 09/24/2010

The 2005 Pinot Noir Cahill Lane, made primarily from Dijon Clones 114 and 115, boasts a dark ruby color in addition to a sumptuous bouquet of black cherries, cool leafy notes, forest floor, and subtle oak, and superb length as well as richness. It should evolve for a decade or more. Kudos to Stephen Hansel for keeping prices so realistic.

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): Hansel's 2011 Pinot Noir Cahill Lane is another striking wine. Freshly cut roses, sweet red berries, spices and mint all flow from this totally effortless, gracious Pinot. There is a level of elegance and pure finesse that sets the 2011 apart from many of the other wines in this range. A long, super-finessed, saline-infused finish rounds things out in style. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. (Apr 2013)
