Walnut Crest Shiraz 2001

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

This medium-bodied Shiraz is ripe and lush, with dark plum fruit flavors and a bit of black pepper spice that adds liveliness and interest to the creamy blackberry finish.

Floral and creamy, with lively fruit and fairly powerful oak. Without having read the label you'd be hard pressed to peg this as Shiraz, but it does taste like a perfectly acceptable everyday red with clean red fruit, some spice and pepper, and even more woody notes and tannins.
