Walla Walla Vintners Cabernet Franc Walla Walla Valley 2009

Member Review by shsim:

Had this at a local Washington tasting. This was an interesting one. It smells of roasted coffee beans. It was a good balance although there was not much flavor. It was simple without much fruit but had good smokiness to it. It is interesting how Cab Franc have been coming up as a single variety. I have not had many and I can see why it would be blended, but this one is wonderful! For more, please visit http://dionyshius.blogspot.com/2012/05/washingtons.html

This wine is an exceptional example of how cab franc when done properly can stand alone. Big, bold , spicy cab with all the right undertones and it is delicious. great value in washington wines and I drink a ton of wash. cabs.
