Waitiri Creek was established in 1993 with one vineyard and now harvests fruit from vineyards throughout Central Otago. Our wines have consistently been recognised as some of the best in New Zealand - from our single vineyard varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc to our show-stopping Pinot Noir. The magnificent scenery of Gibbston and the Remarkables mountain range provides a stunning backdrop to our picturesque tasting facility and restaurant. This beautifully restored building was originally the Wangaloa Presbyterian Church, built in 1893. It now provides a tranquil oasis where visitors can enjoy our premium wines accompanied by a stunning lunch which showcases the best local and regional fresh produce. Our knowledgeable cellar door team is only too happy to answer your questions and provide you with an individual tasting experience which will linger long in the memory. Our wide open spaces and gorgeous vistas make Waitiri Creek the perfect place to while away a summer’s afternoon. You may even choose to fit in a game of cricket or walk the recently opened Gibbston River Trail which can be accessed from our property. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
