Wagner Riesling Seneca Lake Semi-Dry 2011

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

Juicy and focused, with a racy core of red and green apple fruit, laced with hints of anise and honeysuckle. The lively finish has off-dry hints, but stays bouncy. Drink now.

This wine’s scents of bread crust and white peach yield to straightforward flavors of apple and pear, with a texture that’s mineral and creamy at once. Well priced, and well suited to a tuna sandwich.

A well balanced wine with flavors of fresh pears, melons and dried apricots expand in a long, lingering finish. Outstanding as a sipping wine or with hors d'oeuvres.

Clean and crisp with nicely balanced mineral and fruit nuances. Medium bodied, this would pair nicely with teriaki chicken or honey-baked ham.

From the producer of many New York State favorites, Wagner comes out on top again with the 2001 semi-dry Riesling. A light perfume and flavors of peaches and pear are dominant in this wine. Juicy, lush and plump, this is a great companion to turkey and a variety of spicy Asian cuisine.

Light-bodied, with an off-dry feel to the watermelon, lime candy and green apple notes. Drink now.
