What to Expect

Few white wines have achieved the fame that Riesling has in Germany. Its ability to produce a wide range of styles, from bone dry to lusciously sweet, in an even wider range of climates has made it the grape of Germany. Riesling in Germany can range from the steely, piercing wines of the Saar to the round, opulent peachy wines one typically finds in the Nahe and the Pfaltz. Every region is capable of producing both dry and sweet versions though there is a movement towards drier wines that has taken hold throughout many regions.

Winemakers Notes

clear, medium intensity gold color. clean, youthful, medium. Intensity nose of petrol and green apple. Medium sweetness, high acid, low tannin, low alcohol, medium body. medium intensity flavors of green apple. medium finish, excellent quality, ready to drink, but can last 10 years.

Reviews

this is lovely stuff- nicely balanced with a strong floral nature to the wine on the nose and palate that I really liked. good grip and persistence.
