I tasted this wine with chicken cordon bleu and creamy sweet potato casserole, with typical pinot noir spices (nutmeg, cloves) in the casserole. Wine is very earthy, burgundian in nose, with notes of fresh cream, brie cheese with cherry in the background. Light brick red color. Flavors matched nose but quite austere with bitter finish when first tasted. Much more smooth when tasted with meal. Definitely an austere wine that needs a creamy dish to soften the flavors. Drink up if you have this or, likely, other 01 Burgundies.
