Volcanic Hills Syrah 2009

Member Review by zufrieden:

A nice expression of the Syrah grape, this Volcanic Hills wine is reflective of a good village wine from the Rhone Valley (commune not named). The nose is soft, with cherry, black pepper and cola - exactly what should be on the nostrils from this grape as cultivated in the south Okanagan Valley. On the palate, the wine has silky tannins that indicate a lifespan in a good cellar of about another 3-5 years, but drink now; there is no need to wait. Another taste opportunity at Westwood Wines in Coquitlam BC Canada. 88 points.
