The 2009 Roble was aged for 7 months in seasoned French and American oak. Purple-colored, it gives up a first-class perfume of mineral, Asian spices, violets, and lightly roasted black fruits. This is followed by a succulent, full-flavored, voluminous wine with excellent balance and a long, fruit-filled finish. It is an outstanding value that over-delivers in a big way as well as a sneak preview of just how good the top wines from Ribera del Duero will be when released 2-3 years from now.

Don't let your grill grow cold just yet! Despite its floral nose, this Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero is dense with rich strawberry and cherry notes and crisp acidity that make it a great partner for grilled steaks.

The 2005 Roble was aged for 6 months in French oak. Dark ruby/purple-colored, it coats the glass with legs and emits expressive aromas of toast, spice box, blueberry and blackberry jam. This is followed by a packed and stacked wine with well integrated oak, tannin, and acidity. The finish is long and pure. Although it can be enjoyed now, this terrific value will certainly evolve for 1-2 years and drink well through 2012.

Deep ruby. Pungent, floral, spicy aromas of cassis and espresso. Quite primary now, with concentrated dark berry flavors tinged by bitter chocolate and espresso. Brisk, peppery finish shows a light tarry nuance. Itrsquo;s early days for this wine.

Bright red-ruby. Sappy aromas of currant, black raspberry, sandalwood and nutty oak, lifted by a floral element; rather pinot-like. Sweet, lush and smooth, with a liqueur-like wild strawberry flavor complicated by meat and leather. Finishes fresh and persistent, with a firm peppery edge. A very good early example of this superb vintage, aged six months in French oak.
