I just had Vista point merlot at one of our local resturants and it was very nice, where can I purchase this wine.
Went to trader Joes the other day in Pacific beach.. San Diego and they had a special on this Merlot...Was a 1.5 liter and thought to myself how good can it be if it comes in that quantity but in fact was a great choice...Nice and smooth goes well with smoked meats or fish, olives, aged cheese, and marinated vegetables.
$10 a bottle at Woodbridge Pub in Detroit MI. Went well wth the great mushroom soup and Swiss Chesse Angus burger. Not as much tannin and 'smoke' as I prefer, but what the hay ...
First tasted Vista Point at a nice Italian restaurant. Asked for a glass of house merlot and was pleasantly surprised by the smooth taste. Had no idea it could stand up to $20 and up bottles of other Merlots. The only negative is it had a twist off top, but that maybe why the consistency is the same.

This value buy opens with strong smells of Berries and spice, with a very strong alcohol taste on the finish. Charred nuts and burt sugar accents in the body.
