Virtú Napa Valley 2006
Refined rich luscious style with aromas of nectarines, peach and ripe cantaloupe. On the palate the mouthwatering flavors of peaches and nectarines are completely filled out with a subtle mineral quality. This is a unique bottle of wine to be enjoyed now for it's freshness and in the future as it develops in the bottle. 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 48% Semillon Curious about joining a St. Supery Wine Club to get member discounts and other benefits? Clean appearance. Aromas of ripe fruit and florals. Deliciously light, but full of flavor and not overly sweet.
Nice wine that brings thoughts of Indian summer, and mouthfuls of white fruits without the cloying sweetness you sometimes get with this varietal. From an under-appreciated Napa winery.
reminiscent of peaches and warm sunlight on your skin in summer, sweet but not too, good depth... quite nice as a dessert wine or aperatif
This is my wife's absolute favorite from a winery whose Club is gererous and inviting.
Complex and not too sweet... Cindi really liked it. Had at Golden Spur.

The 2006 Muscato is like a breath of summer in a glass. There is a wonderful aroma of white peach, apricot pear and slight floral finish. The wine is light and delicate yet full of intense flavors of sweet ripe pear and apricots. This is a perfect aperitif for an afternoon gathering.
Wine Tasting NotesPerfumed aromas of orchard ripe peaches and stewed apricots. Flavors follow with peaches and apricot, accompanied by notes of cantaloupe and lychees, with ripe density and balanced acidity. Our 'tropical fruit basket' in a glass!
A deliciously floral, yet delicate Muscat wine, this St. Supery Moscato had the intense perfumed aromas of ripe peaches and apricots enhanced by cantalope and lychees for a crisp and balanced wine. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with dessert.
Fevre owns or controls nearly one quarter of the acreage in Preuses. Their 2006 Chablis Preuses marries fruit from a southeast-facing parcel just above the Cote de Bouguerots and conducive to cool" fruit and overt minerality, with a southwest-facing parcel inherently inclined toward richness that was harvested at hugely high ripeness even before this year's ban de vendange. From its aroma through its impressively dense and expansive palate display, through its lingering finish, this sensually extravagant expression of Preuses (in a manner distinctly reminiscent of Vincent Dauvissat's) is totally suffused with the savory salinity and sweetness of shrimp and lobster shell reduction. White peach and lime occupy a discreet position, iris and lily a more prominent one, wafting alluringly throughout. This silken-textured beauty should be worth holding for a dozen or more years." RP
Slightly better is the 2006 Chardonnay North Slope, which displays crushed rock, white currant, and quince notes, a bit of pineapple and poached pear, and some hints of smoky nuts in a full-bodied, evolved, but complex style. This too needs to be drunk soon - 1-2 years. Hazy yellow color. Strikingly complex nose suggests ripe pear, orange, anise and dusty minerals. Juicy and fresh, with admirably restrained citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Reminded me of a suave Puligny-Montrachet. A delicious wine with excellent finishing lift and clarity. ** Only 2 in Stock **
