What to Expect

Cabernet Franc, along with Sauvignon Blanc, is a parent of the more famous Cabernet Sauvignon. Quite similar in many ways to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc tends to have higher acid and lighter tannins than its offspring, with fruit in the redder end of the spectrum and a distinctive, aggressive herbal note that can dominate the wine's aromas.

This is a wine made for the open-minded, the adventurous and those who root for the underdog. Its Cabernet Franc from El Dorado, California aged in used French Oak for 22 months; truly a Scrapper.Beautiful and vivid crimson color, with a purple robe. Seductive nose brimming with classic varietal characteristics: Cherries, Plums, Cedar, Violets and Graphite. Juicy and silky entry to the palate, followed by deep flavors of Black Raspberries, Kirsch and Chocolate; the sweet fruit is balanced by Meaty and Spicy notes. Bright acidity keeps the mouthcoating tannins lively.
