Vinos Sin-Ley Monastrell Yecla M5 2007

Member Review by donqwan on wine:

A solid entry-level red with good fruit on the nose, great balance and mouthfeel; tannins are firm and quite well-rounded. Color is jewel-like, letting some light through at the edge. Not a huge wine, but very well done and approachable.

The 2007 M5 is sourced from Yecla. Dark ruby-colored, the nose contains enticing, slightly roasted notes of mineral, pencil lead, and an amalgam of black fruits. On the palate, this meaty effort has excellent density, layered flavors, and a remarkably long finish for a wine of its humble price.

Deep purple-red with aromas of fresh berries. On the palate is rich and dense, with expressive ripe fruit showing youthful texture. Its finish is long and complex with polished tannins.
