Vinos de Arganza Lagar de Robla Premium 2008
The vineyard Vinos de Arganza is owned by Victor Robla who is a very well respected and devoted winemaker in Spain. With his wife Angeles Varela, whose family has wine making roots going back to the 15th century, he make wine from fruit of old vines and utilize modern and traditional methods to create a wine with old and new world characteritics which are sold a very modest prices.
This is a very nice wine. I really like the extended barrel aging. Lends a sweet vanilla character to the smell that overwhelms the ripe, sweet, semi tart red cherry. Drinking this wine 2-6-13. Has aged well. Noticeable alcohol burn. Wine is on the lighter side for tannins and acidity is fresh and consistent with the other flavors.
