What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Winemaker: Pablo Fallabrino. Its silky white tones are accentuated by tart passion fruit wrapped in pineapple skins. The floral notes continue to flourish with zucchini flowers sauteed in citrus oils, amplified with an almond cream finish that matures in one taste.

Reviews

Surprising Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Muscato Blanco. Golden with a floral nose and succulent agave nectar. Nice acidity, tart without pucker, dry and rich, but clean. Lastly, it has a bright sparkling minerality to just confuse you a little bit further.
A wine of opposites and something one would drink if you could jump into a garden picnic scene in an Italian tapestry pillow.

We highly doubt you would guess where this wine came from if you tasted it blind. You'd certainly note its clean, unoaked New World style. This is a dry white blend that’s highly aromatic and fresh, with floral and apple fruit. It’s also delicious.

"Rather than making wines that are fashionable, Fallabrino chooses to make wines that pique his imagination and creative senses. One example of his work is the unique Estival. This wine is fairly full-bodied, offering tons of exotic peach, ripe apricot, and pineapple aromas and notes of honeysuckle. With its crisp acidity, it’s delicious on its own or with seafood dishes and salads—a perfect picnic wine, showing the potential of this relatively unknown wine country."Sommelier Journal, March 2009
