Vincent Pouilly-Fuisse Marie-Antoinette 2006
The pale yellow wine has a brilliant color with a green tint, and elegant, white flower aromas which lead to round, fresh, mineral flavors on the palate. The wine has a very clean and balanced character in the mouth. The wine pairs well with fish, seafood, chicken and goat's milk cheeses. Food Match: Soft cheeses, scallops, salmon, salads, fish, chicken, Antipasto.
I found this one too perfumey. The flavors didn't mesh. At times sweet, at times too acidic, always with that heavy, floral touch, like cheap perfume. Off with its head!

Nothing super special when all is said and done, its still a great wine to bring to a party where it might be considered tres chic. Attractive yet subtle nose of lemon, grapefruit, honey and oatmeal/cream, with swirling bringing out more vibrancy. Nicely balanced on the palate, though the acidity is firm enough to suggest it's better with food. The profile at this stage though is quite straightforward with little complexity. Yes - No / Comment Options 4/8/2012 - FULLPINT WROTE: 91 Points From the famed JJ Vincent who produces Chateau Fuisse, this is an introduction to Pouilly Fuisse and definitely delivers...apple-citrus flavours, subtle oak offering a slight creamy backbone, minerality, and crisp acidity. Beautiful Chardonnay that would be a challenge to find in the new world at this price point, seafoods and fish all day long!
