Vincent Girardin Puligny-Montrachet les Combettes Premiere Cru 2008

External Review:

The Girardin 2007 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes adds musk melon to the predictable repertoire of peach and lemon, offering an especially flatteringly creamy texture that - as with other of the best 2007s - by no means precludes vivacity or refresh... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2007 Girardin, Vincent Puligny Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru 750ml

Vincent’s red wines are profound and intense, balancing the tannins and the ripe fruit. These wines demonstrate fullness of structure, with unmistakable grandeur, without any astringency. Success in winemaking requires a rigour and attention to detail at all times for each individual wine. Reticent but pure nose hints at stone fruits and flowers. Then fat and stuffed with very ripe fruit. Perhaps less refined in texture and less minerally than the Referts but this fruit bomb is classically dry and finishes with outstanding persistence. Stephen Tanzer's IWC. Very floral in aroma, shifting to apple and mineral flavors on the palate. Theres also a mint or pine note. Full of vanilla pastry and hazelnut accents midpalate, with a long vanilla and mineral aftertaste. Best from 2008 through 2015. 100 cases imported. -BS ** Only 1 in Stock **
